I guess I'm on a blogging role, not sure anyone finds it all that interesting, but sometimes I just feel like sharing!
So, I'm sitting here thinking, could she be any cuter?!?! And I don't mean looks wise, she is the cutest baby ever, but it's her actions that are cracking me up right now. Payton believes everyone should always have their shoes on, if you don't have them on, she brings them to you, if you don't put them on, she sits down and cries, even Garrett just puts them on now! oh, and she knows who goes with which shoes, and she always brings you a matching pair.
She loves sneaking food out of the pantry. If she sees it's open, she runs to it. I have some goldfish lined up on the desk for her and every so often, her little hand sneaks up and grabs one.
She loves to play chase and be tickled, she screams with delight when we do this.
She loves being outside, same as the pantry, if she hears the back door open, she drops everything and runs to get outside.
She does not sit still, EVER. I am not exxagerating, she is a very active little girl. Sure, she'll sit for a couple minutes to read herself books, but I cannot read to her. We were playing in her room and I noticed she squats a lot, she'll squat down and play with a toy and then move on to the next. I guess sitting down would take up too much time! She does come sit in my lap, but usually it lasts less then 30 seconds and ends up with her sliding down so she can be tickled.
She loves to tickle, she'll grab my feet, or her new things is to lift my shirt and try and get my belly.
She entertains herself very well, better then I could imagine a 15 month old would.
She is an amazing sleeper! She sleeps at least 12 hours at night, and takes two 2 hour naps a day. (every once in a while, today for example, she tries to prove me wrong).
She does not give kisses. If you ask her for a kiss, she'll tilt her head to you and you can kiss the top of her head. I have no idea why, but I think it's hilarious.
She loves to empty things out, purses, diaper bags, boxes, drawers, pretty much anything she can. She's now learning that she likes to put things away, which is good.
She is a good eater, not great, but good. She hates a bib though. She is extremely neat when she eats, so bibs are not always needed, but since she won't keep one on, I don't feed her things that could stain her clothes, or she eats in just a diaper. I tried the bibs that slip over her head, she practically chocked herself trying to pull it off, so I decided none was better!
She is now attempting to take her diaper off, as fast as I put it on, she's undoing the velcro and pulling it off. This morning, i was letting her run around in just a diaper, 5 minutes later she came to me carrying it. So, now she has on a diaper and shorts, lol.
She barely talks, I think this is funny, only because everyone says your second and girls do things faster, well, she crawled at 6 months, (really early), and walked at 13 months (kind of late), and at 15 months days maybe 4 words, mama, dada, hi and here. She knows what things are, she knows what her cup is and shoes and who Garrett is, but she doesn't repeat those words. She talks, don't get me wrong, almost as much as Garrett, but we can't understand a word of it.
She loves Garrett's school, as soon as we pull up, she starts kicking her feet and laughing. She runs right in, I've already asked if they would consider taking her at 18 months (they normally don't start until 2 years), the director said it's a strong possibility, especially since Garrett will be there too.
She is a momma's girl. She cries when I leave her with the sitter or at church, she cries if I get too far away at baseball practice. A lot of times if she can touch me, then all is good, but she does not like to be away from momma. I believe this is a phase, she did not cry for the nursery staff or the sitter until recently.
so, there you have it, an update on my cutey pie. She will be 15 months in 6 days and I cannot imagine life without her. I am excited to see what new skills she learns today, tomorrow, next week, next month..........
